BSS Foundation Wraps Up Successful Alchemy 2024 National Business Case Study Competition

BSS Foundation reached a significant milestone with the culmination of Alchemy 2024, a National Business Case Study Presentation Competition held on February 3rd at Mumbai University. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Mr. Krishna Prakash, Guinness World Record Holder and IPS Officer ADGP Force One, as the Chief Guest. In collaboration with University of Mumbai's Garware Institute and SNDT University, BSS Foundation orchestrated a gathering of top colleges, business schools, corporate professionals, and market experts, fostering a dynamic platform for the exchange of innovative ideas.
Alchemy 2024 served as a stage for aspiring minds to showcase their strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and innovative approaches to real-world business challenges, highlighting the immense talent within the next generation of business leaders.
The distinguished panel of jury members, comprised of CXO personalities boasting over 25 years of expertise in various industry domains, including Sunil Mishra, MD & CEO of Anarock Group; Rochelle Divakar-Dsouza, Head of People at Tata Trust; Ganapathi H, Co-Founder & CEO of Tune’em.com; and Ajitabh Dutta, CEO of Simplicity Communications.
This year's case study topic, 'Mobile Health and Nutrition Centre in Urban Cities,' prompted participants to devise comprehensive and sustainable solutions to address urban health and nutrition challenges.
Directors of BSS Foundation, Jayesh Sharma and Tapashree Bose, expressed their vision behind the competition, stating, "Alchemy 2024 serves as a catalyst for nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among students, inspiring them to merge business acumen with a commitment to social causes, fostering both business excellence and social impact."
Beyond competition, Alchemy 2024 celebrates innovation and exemplifies the potential within our youth to tackle real-world challenges. The competition encourages strategic thinking and instils a sense of responsibility to contribute positively to society.
Following a preliminary round featuring 18 teams from top colleges nationwide, five finalists advanced to the grand finale, where they presented their case studies to the esteemed jury, showcasing their market strategies and problem-solving methodologies.
The winning team from Thakur College was awarded a grand cash prize of INR 50,000, while the runner-ups from S.M Shetty College received a cash prize of INR 25,000.
Additionally, BSS Foundation unveiled its internal magazine, Meta Muse, curated by students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communication & Design, in the presence of celebrity influencer Ms. Palvi Kadam. This initiative underscores the foundation's commitment to empowering students and providing creative avenues for expression.
